BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN NURSING
Program Description:
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program aims to produce a nursing graduate who is able to assume entry-level positions in health facilities or community settings. The program prepares individuals to become professional nurses who can deliver comprehensive, culturally sensitive, evidence-based nursing care to individuals, families, and communities in various health care settings. This program fosters the development of critical thinking, clinical judgment, leadership, and research skills necessary for the practice of nursing in a complex and dynamic health care environment.
Program Educational Objectives:
1. Professional Competence: Graduates will demonstrate competence in providing safe, quality, and evidence-based nursing care across the lifespan and in diverse health care settings.

Program Outcomes:
Upon completion of the BSN program, graduates will be able to:
- Provide Safe and Quality Care: Deliver safe, holistic, and quality nursing care using the nursing process and evidence-based practices to meet the health needs of individuals, families, and communities.
- Apply Critical Thinking: Utilize critical thinking and clinical reasoning in making decisions and solving problems in clinical practice.

Program Structure:
The BSN program consists of general education and professional nursing courses. It includes both classroom instruction and hands-on clinical practice in various health care settings.
- General Education Courses: These provide foundational knowledge in natural and social sciences, mathematics, humanities, and communication.
- Professional Nursing Courses: These cover theoretical and practical aspects of nursing, including anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, nursing ethics, community health nursing, medical-surgical nursing, maternal and child health nursing, mental health nursing, and nursing research.
Clinical Training:
Students will undergo extensive clinical training in accredited hospitals, community health centers, and other health care facilities. This hands-on experience is designed to develop clinical skills, professional behavior, and confidence in real-world settings.
Licensure Examination:
Graduates of the BSN program are eligible to take the Philippine Nurse Licensure Examination (PNLE) conducted by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC). Passing this examination is required to practice as a registered nurse in the Philippines.
